About the Event
This course is designed to develop understanding and proficiency with an AR-15. Students will progress from safety, carbine parts, zeroing, magazine changes, malfunctions, and barricade work. Students will develop skills that will increase their speed, accuracy, and confidence with the AR-15. This is a 3-hour course consisting of 100% range time.
This course covers: Safety Characteristics and accessories Sight-in/zero procedures Fundamentals Ready positions Magazine changes (admin and tactical reloads) Shooting positions and transitioning to shooting positions Multiple shots/multiple targets Malfunction drills Barricades
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: None required
DURATION: 3 hours COURSE FEE: $75 COURSE SIZE: Limited to 8
EQUIPMENT: Working AR-15 with iron sights or scope (loaner available on request) Minimum of two (2) magazines 100-150 rounds of ammunition Eye and ear protection
ATTIRE: Range appropriate attire.
REGISTRATION POLICIES & TERMS: Cancellation: 50% of class/event fee is a non-refundable deposit. Refunds: Refunds for the balance of event fee, if no transfer is possible, are issued via PayPal. No-Show: Participants who do not show to the event without prior 72-hour notice forfeit their total registration fees.
