RSO’s ensure that the users of a range follow range regulations in order to reduce the potential for personal injury and property damage. RSO’s often have responsibilities to take immediate action when circumstances require it. The RSO is the range’s official on the firing line to ensure safety and to help shooters.

Whether you want to work for a range as an RSO or are just interested in taking your training to the next level and participating from a safety aspect, this course is for you.

This NRA certification covers the following lessons and more:
Defining the role of the RSO
Standard Operating Procedures
Indoor and outdoor range inspection
Safety briefings
Emergency procedures
Safely unloading guns and correcting stoppages and malfunctions
What to look for with new shooting students and common safety violations

We do a lot of hands on training and like students to come back to assist on our range for a live-fire range day. This is not mandatory, but we are fans of going above and beyond what is required. The RSO Course is an 8 hour course of instruction and students must be at least 21 years of age for certification. Includes all course materials and lunch. This will be held in Gering, Nebraska. Class size is limited so register early to secure your seat in class.
